Join us for one last festival this summer, and round off the festival season in style. 

Our long-awaited 2022 phase 2 line up is finally here. We’ve added Friction for a special hometown gig on the SuperCharged stage, as well as a return to Boundary for Harriet Jaxxon.

After her show-stealing set in 2021, we simply had to invite her back. Boundary debuts for one of the UK’s best-loved selectors Skream and joining him on The Arch stage is one of the hottest names in house music to emerge in 2022, Ben Hemsley, who’s fresh off the back of selling out countless headline shows throughout the UK. Finally, the DNB Direct stage adds not only Amplify and Tim Reaper, but also man of the moment Monrroe as well as the D&B’s scene’s gatekeeper Dom Whiting.

There is still one more artist and a co-headliner to add to The Arch stage, and we can assure you… it’s worth the wait.

 

SUPERCHARGED STAGE

SuperCharged are back after leading the way for nearly 25 years in underground bass-driven bass culture SuperCharged once again host an incredible array of talent.

Hybrid Minds – Easily one of the most prominent names in liquid drum and bass, Hybrid Minds will be bringing their soaring, anthemic tracks to Boundary 2022. Their iconic sound fuses the musicality of laid back liquid and the energy of dancefloor DnB. Their music speaks for itself as “Touch” and “Solitude” have firmly established this production duo and DJ partnership as one of the most exciting and moving acts in the scene to see live. We can’t wait to hear these tracks being screamed at the top of Brighton’s lungs.

Kings of the Rollers  Kings of the Rollers are three iconic veterans of the scene: Serum, Voltage, and Bladerunner. They have become figureheads individually and have released singles on some of the scene’s biggest drum and bass labels, but together they are much more than the sum of their parts. Their notoriety and prestige has been earnt behind the decks having played to crowds of tens of thousands at all the biggest festivals.

Bou –  Deep in the jump-up/rollers/jungle melting pot and constantly pushing his sound to new places, few breakthrough artists have had the same impact as 6x award-winning young Manchester murker Bou. His workflow is unmatched with coming thick and fast over the last few years with his release “Streetside” featuring Bru-C launching him to new heights. With the announcement of his new label “Gossip”, we can’t wait to hear tunes being released that were teased in his blistering 100% Bou mix.

Friction  Multi-award-winning Friction will be bringing his uplifting, cutting edge sound to the biggest stage his hometown has to offer. Friction co-owns the globally renowned labels Shogun Audio & Elevate Records and with 18 years under its belt, Brighton based Shogun is now a powerhouse in the world of bass music, responsible for nurturing and kick-starting the careers of many of the scene’s biggest producers today. Expect a whole lo=ad of new music as his new album ‘After Dark’ is set to be released in September 2022 and features the likes of Pola & Bryson, K Motionz, Kanine, A Little Sound and many more.

David Rodigan  For over 40 years David Rodigan has been the top dog in the ganja-scented, bass heavy-atmosphere of Britain’s reggae dance halls. The key to his success has been an unsinkable passion for reggae music. We’ll be welcoming a true legend and British music icon.

Kanine  Supported by some of the biggest and most influential names in Drum & Bass, the young Londoner known as Kanine has risen to new heights in recent years. Originally recognised as one of the leading names in the new wave of Drum & Bass producers, his sound is evolving all the time as he moves toward being one of the most versatile artists in DnB.

Harriet Jaxxon  Returning to Boundary again after a standout set on our DNB stage last year we had to invite Harriet back and give her a bigger platform this time around. Feet rooted in the deepest foundations, eyes fixed firmly on the future, a selection that spans all eras in between; Harriet Jaxxon is one of the most exciting, unique and diverse drum & bass artists to emerge in the UK in recent years.

Skepsis  South London based producer and DJ Skepsis is no stranger to any fan of the UK bass sound. Coming to public attention with a series of heavyweight originals and remixes, his gritty basslines and intricate rhythms have gained him support from both fans and acclaimed artists alike all over the world. A regular on the club circuit, armed with tunes and mixing skills that never fail to cause carnage in any venue, Skepsis is truly cementing himself as one of the biggest young talents in the scene.

TQD  After a long wait, TQD are back this summer! TQD is a collaboration between Royal-T, DJ Q and Flava D, all heavy-hitting producers in the U.K. garage/grime scene. Together they capture the excitement of the garage and bassline scenes with their fast-paced, bouncy tracks. It’s a pleasure to have them with us as our special guests.

Navos  You’ll probably know Navos from his recent track “Believe Me” which was signed to Island Records and has hit the top 40. “Believe Me” has featured on all major radio stations such as Radio 1, Capital, Kiss FM and many more after blowing up on TikTok. The House DJ and Producer from Liverpool, UK also recently achieved 22 in the Capital Big Top 40 and featured as MistaJam: Jam Hot Record of the week (Capital Dance). It’s about time we heard his glistening pop productions out in the sun! 

M E L  From playing in Camden’s rock bars to djing alongside the likes of Wilkinson and Camo & Krooked, Mel is becoming one of the genre’s rising stars. Also being a frequent staple of Ram’s live stream line ups, we can’t wait to see her shell it on the SuperCharged stage.

 

 

THE ARCH STAGE

Brighton’s premier dance venue The Arch hosts our biggest ever big top with some of house music’s finest selectors in tow. Already a huge line up but just wait until you see the full line up.

Patrick Topping  As one of the breakout artists of his generation, Patrick has become one of the scene’s most popular DJs.Patrick has attained international status as a headline act, demonstrating his prowess in the studio and on stage. Patrick has been awarded three DJ Awards, one DJ Mag ‘Best of British’ Award and as a selector, prides himself on keeping the energy levels high, while ensuring that he spins a variety of styles.

Folamour  Folamour’s musical background is diverse and accomplished. A trained multi-instrumentalist he has worked with Lyon’s National Orchestra and been involved with projects that range from pop to jazz. As a result, his music is always infused with a rich musicianship. Folamour draws on the core values of classic house, funk and disco artists while adding his own distinctive flair. ANNOUNCED ON SEP 1st.

Dan Shake  Dan Shake’s love of groove – ranging from sparky acid to Brazilian samba, itchy funk to heavyweight house – fuels his drive to make those around him dance as keenly as he does. His infectious charm and expert ear has resulted in a truly international list of shows in locations from London to Buenos Aires, next up: Boundary festival!

DJ BORING  DJ BORING could be the most ironically named performer out there: energetic journeys into forgotten gems and future classics, nothing about what he does is boring. Playing everything from throwback trance to old-school house, Belgium techno to rolling funk, he meets each mix physically with sweaty, infectious performances that are compelling to watch.

Chris Stussy  A DJ, producer and label boss firmly in the ascendency, Chris Stussy emerged onto the scene double-quick time with a string of head-turning house tracks. Stussy has his own unique take on the genre, leaning on the jazz of his youth to lend his music its extra special and standout sense of character. Now very much a key part of today’s house scene with a sound that is all his own, Stussy’s rise has taken him firmly into the spotlight as one of the scene’s most exciting names.

Lauren Lo Sung  Liverpool based DJ and Producer Lauren Lo Sung is revered for her groove-laden sound. A fusion of warm textures and stripped-back percussions, flavoured with a little Parisian flare, it’s the prime force behind her flourishing career. She’s played all the biggest clubs and earned many accolades along the way such as Mixmag’s ‘One to Watch’, DJ Mag’s ‘Get To Know’ and Liverpool Echo’s ‘DJ Of The Year’.

ABSOLUTE.  Mixmag cover artist ABSOLUTE. graduated from a key figure in the vibrant LGBTQ+ club space, into a DJ, producer and live artist in the spotlight of international electronic music. His critical acclaim says it all: “ABSOLUTE. has ascended to the next plane of his career.” – Mixmag “Absolutely Unstoppable” – DJ Mag “110% banger” – Wonderland and a Mixmag cover artist. The Arch stage better be ready for this young Londoner.

Sosa  Recognised for his hypnotic grooves, SOSA has been perfecting his signature minimal-tech productions. His tracks have picked up support from key tastemakers such as The Martinez Brothers, Michael Bibi, PAWSA and Jamie Jones, with releases on Cuttin Headz, Hottrax, Ultra & Ministry of Sound to name a few. His hit track ‘DFCW’ gained the support of leading names such as Camelphat, Skream, Eli Brown and many more. SOSA then went on to remix Solardo & Eli Brown’s hit record ‘XTC’ with high praise coming from Radio 1’s Danny Howard.

Moktar  Moktar is a DJ and producer who effortlessly combines club and techno with traditional Arabic instrumentation, sampling and producing to emphasise his Egyptian-Australian background. A hybrid style, Moktar’s music is new to the clubs of Australia and is itching to make its way across dance floors and festivals over here with us.

Skream  Producer/DJ Skream played a vital role in the development and popularity of dubstep during the 2000s, and subsequently branched out toward techno, disco, house and DnB. Skream enjoyed huge commercial success with his involvement as part of dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man whose debut album reached number one on the U.K. dance chart. Another one of Skream’s most notable successes is his rave-inspired mix of La Roux’s “In for the Kill” which helped contribute to the song’s international success. Skream wil lbe bringing a plethora of sounds from his diverse career to The Arch stage this year.

Ben Hemsley  Ben Hemsley is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most exciting new talents in dance music with luring melodies and flavours of old school rave nostalgia. Ben’s originality has turned the heads of some of the biggest names in the scene including Patrick Topping, Calvin Harris, Fisher, Michael Bibi and Fatboy Slim. Ben has been selling out headline shows across the UK during 2022 including XOYO and a 7 date Scotland tour. He is one of the hottest names in dance music and we can’t wait to welcome him to his first ever Brighton show!

DNB DIRECT STAGE

Local label DNB Direct has been hosting some of the most hype parties we have seen in a long time so we just had to get them on board to host our brand new Boneyard Arena.

Luude  Luude has come bursting onto the DnB scene this year with his smash hit remix of Men at Works ‘Down Under’. After signing to Sweat It Out he released his first DnB in 2021; a dynamic double A-side ‘Luudooskins’. Since then the Australian electronic producer has quickly risen to the forefront of the scene with his bass-heavy dance music. After gaining a name for himself in EDM, his switch over to DnB has given us an inevitable anthem of the summer. This summer will be his first-ever UK festival season and we’re buzzing to have him for his first Brighton show!

Hedex & MC Skywalker  UK drum & bass producer Hedex has been releasing music since 2013. Still only 24 he’s been one of the most successful new generation jump-up artists to emerge for a long time. He has been so prominent in the stripped-back Belgian sound, many people thought he was actually Bruges born and bred. When he teams up with MC Skywalker, carnage ensues as we’ve found out from recent shows. Expect face melting energy from these two at Boundary 2022!

Culture Shock  Culture Shock has gone from the passing of an unmarked demo to one of the drum & bass scene’s most groundbreaking producers. Since his first release in 2004, Culture Shock has consistently pushed boundaries with his sonic artwork, creating a diverse discography that has become symbolic within one of the UK’s most withstanding genres. He will have plenty of new material for us as he will be joining us off the back of his 2022 album ‘Sequel’ which was released on RAM and has already amassed millions of streams.

Born on Road Showcase ft. Aries b2b Kelvin 373 b2b Crossy – Born on Road is a Bristol-based record label and DJ collective firmly rooted at the heart of drum and bass and jungle’s underground music scene. They will be bringing their founders Kelvin 373 and Aries as well as their top selector DJ Crossy. Since being established in 2013, they have built a reputation as an eclectic outfit known for pushing good music. Whether it’s jungle, jump up, ragga or some sublime vocal work, they bring whatever they’re vibing with to the masses.

Jungle Cakes Takeover ft. Ed Solo b2b Deekline b2b Benny Page w/ MC Sye – Owned and created by Ed Solo & Deekline, Jungle Cakes is one of the most well established Jungle DNB labels in the UK. Its most memorable releases such as ‘No no no’ and ‘Bad Boyz’ are still destroying dancefloors today. All of these guys have played a definitive role in shaping the UK’s drum and bass movement, and long ago joined British sound system culture’s royal family.

AC13  After a showstopping performance in 2021 we had to invite AC13 back due to popular demand. Undoubtedly one of the fastest rising stars in recent years, Drum and bass producer AC13 is a name that has not left the lips of the community for the last 24 months. The only thing that is developing as quickly as his booking schedule is his dynamic production abilities, with tracks signed off to Hospital Records, Playaz, Souped-up and a multitude of other respected labels – fans, and musicians across the world are growing ever engrossed into the direction the electrifying producer will take his journey.

Gray  London born producer Gray’s rise to prominence within drum & bass is nothing short of astounding. The Bristol-based artist has become a featured figure on line-ups across the UK, having cut his teeth on the underground circuit of unlicensed and free raves throughout the nation. After the runaway success of his tracks “One Spliff” and “Rubadub”, he received a nomination for  “Best Newcomer” at the 2020 Drum & Bass Arena Awards.

Dom Whiting  Known throughout the country as ‘the DJ on the bike’ Dom Whiting regularly attracts crowds of thousands to his DnB rides in cities across the UK. After establishing a committed following throughout lockdown, Dom has become a key figure in the scene. Dom regularly supports up and coming producers by playing their tunes on his rides which gain huge attention both on the streets and online. After his insane sold out boat party on The Thames, Dom is ready to show us what he’s got off of the roads and into the festival!

Monrroe  With support from artists such as Etherwood, S.P.Y, Friction, LSB and Hybrid Minds, Monrroe has been making an impact with his instantly recognisable atmospheric, deeply euphoric liquid sound. Through his unique production techniques he manages to capture a truly organic and human feel that stands out within the heavily electronic genre of Drum and Bass. We’re thrilled to be hosting one of the biggest names in Liquid DnB at Boundary this year.

Amplify –  If you know Jump Up DnB you know that Amplify is the number one up and comer in the scene right now. Amplify’s unrivalled workrate has brought us a constant stream of releases which all hold a unique sound, which you can pin as his immediately. The owner of Gradient Records​ and holder of regular number 1’s across DnB charts, Amplify is going to tear down the DnB Direct stage this year.

Tim Reaper – Tim Reaper produces lush yet hard-hitting jungle and breakbeat hardcore tracks which measure up to the best of the genre’s early- to mid-’90s heyday. Tim Reaper seamlessly mixes vintage obscurities and unreleased dubplates with tracks by himself as well as fellow jungle revivalists. Since making his debut in 2010, he’s released dozens of EPs and singles bringing the most authentic and raw sounds you could hope to find.

Stillz B2B Dreadnaught

These exciting young talents are two of the most promising up and comers in Brighton. Dreadnaught has had the honour of remixing Dark Soldier by Ray Keith and his bootleg of ‘Pass Out’ was played on BBC Radio 1Xtra by the man himself – Tinie Tempah. Stillz has bagged himself releases on Serial Killaz, Gradient Records and Grid Recordings and received track support from T>I, Critical Impact, DJ Hybrid, Nicky Blackmarket, DJ Marky and many more.

NU DANCE REVOLUTION STAGE X SOUTHPOINT

We team up with the perennial Southpoint who have been releasing bangers for as long as we can remember and have always supported Brighton based artists and been at the forefront of new music. Together we are bringing Nu Dance Revolution to the woodland stage in what is a brand new sound and stage for Boundary.

Sammy Virji  Sammy Virji’s music makes you feel young no matter what age you are. His tracks encapsulate the wave that you get during the long, hot summer months. So wherever you’re at in life, the Leeds-based producer will make you want to pop bottles of Prosecco in the sun. We can’t wait to welcome his happy-go-lucky UKG sounds to Boundary!

Notion  The bass-heavy sounds coming out of Bristol have been strongly represented by bass house producer Notion, with his huge track “Hooked” amassing over 37 million streams on Spotify. Combining classic garage sounds with heavy-hitting sub-bass synths to make rave ready drops, Notion is one of the top names in UK Bass House. His first-ever album has recently dropped and we can’t wait to hear his new stuff on our new stage.

Interplanetary Criminal  Interplanetary Criminal is one of the most in-form Garage artists of the moment. He is right at the sharp end of the garage revival and brings plenty of darkened jungle and breakbeat influences to his music. Interplanetary Criminal has been absolutely smashing it recently making numerous appearances on Identification of music, destroying the dance floor wherever he goes.

Higgo  UK producer and DJ Higgo has quickly climbed the ranks of the UKG scene and the spotlight is now firmly set on the London-based producer. Winning a remix competition, hosted live by Disclosure.
Higgo’s remix of Disclosure ‘Restless’ received support on Radio 1 from the brothers themselves, and he was even interviewed on Radio 1’s flagship news programme Newsbeat about winning. His bouncy, happy beats are going to go down a treat on our UKG stage.

MPH  MPH has woven his sound into nearly every conceivable corner of UK dancefloors, strapping together monumental releases for some of the scene’s most important imprints. From smooth garage creations with DJ EZ’s label Nuvolve, Kiwi Rekords and Southpoint, to raucous bassline bangers for the likes of Night Bass and Crucast; it’s difficult to find a platform that MPH is yet to encounter. Following bundles of support from the likes of Skream, Disclosure and Chris Lorenzo, he’ll be bringing both Bassline and Garage flavours to Boundary 2022.

Oppidan  Undoubtedly one of the fastest rising names in UK Garage, Oppidan has made a name for herself with her distinctive production style blending 2-step with 4×4 NUKG and bass influences. At this relatively early stage of her career, she has released on Night Bass, 24 Garage Girls and Kiwi Rekords, including a remix of Sammy Virji’s hit ‘Shapes’. Come and see this exciting young talent whilst she’s still on the smaller stages.

Tailor Jae  Tailor Jae has established herself as a technical firehouse behind the decks, genreless at heart but heavy on the bass. She is one of London’s most exciting DJs.

Hailing from East London with a unique style that knows no bounds, Tailor is known for her infamous crossfader cutting skills and crafting of bass-heavy sets.

Yung Singh  Combine DJ Mag’s ‘one to watch’ status with the most talked-about mix in the UKG revival and you start to understand the excitement around Yung Singh. Garage, Grime, Punjabi and Jungle sounds all come together in the rich melting pot that is Yung Singh’s sound.

Y U QT –  Have released several EPs on Warehouse Rave, remixed Hamdi for Conducta’s award-winning Kiwi Rekords and just embarked on a monthly show on Balimii Radio. After success on their remix of Easy Life’s ‘Skeletons’ there’s a lot more music coming soon from Y U QT.

JUSTJO B2B KXVU  If you’re familiar with the Brighton scene these two need no introduction. Talented DJ, Vocalist and promoter JUSTJO will be going B2B with the co-founder of Southpoint and Trickstar Radio Breakfast Show host KXVU. Both with a diverse discography, these two are sure to bring the place down.
